V0.12.X is out!
There are a lot of additions in this update. Mainly because it's 1.5 weeks instead of just one week of updates. The first week was cut short since I went backpacking (and proposed to my GF). Primary focus of this update is increasing the replay-ability and balancing different strategies. I hope you can give it a try!
- Monuments - these are game changing buildings randomly generated on the map. There are 3 types: 1) enemy speed debuff, 2) enemy spell weakness debuff, 3) tower damage buffing. The buff/debuff is pretty powerful so it's in the player's best interest to plan around them. I hope this adds a layer of replayability when used in conjunction with your starting artifact
- New enemy type: assassin. These guys will periodically teleport towards the main castle. It's a hard counter to a maze heavy build.
- New enemy type: archer. These guys have a ranged attack. They will also periodically shoot a disruptor arrow. While it does no damage, it deactivates the tower, preventing them from shooting. It's meant to be a hard counter for those with a "kill box" kind of build.
- Wizard will periodically speak unobtrusively with a dialog box popping form the castle. He'll give you tips and slowly unravel the story of the Hidden Valley.
- 4th slot of minor artifacts: delayed gratification. If you don't like any of the options this turn, you can get a bit of gold and have 4 options next turn.
- Stats summary when defeated
- Enemy info panel is now the default panel. Enemy types will show up as you encounter them.
- Hotkey bindings to upgrading towers' stats
- Added mini boss waves. Regular boss waves happen every 10 rounds. These mini-boss waves test specific aspects of your defense. E.g. one of the is a lot of flying units.
- crossbow man upgrade now does 2X damage to air units
- the ALT hotkey :)
- Allow returning players to skip beginning tutorial
- Some balancing. Most notably, ogres are weaker. Also more gold per turn.
- Bug fixes/optimizations
